RUGER 10/22 RIFLE |
When the Ruger 10/22 rifle was introduced in 1964, it forever changed the way shooters viewed 22 rimfire autoloaders. The 10/22 represented a design revolution in a field where pre-World War II designs were still the rule. The trigger housing subassembly contains the entire firing mechanism, including a high-speed, pivoted hammer for short lock time. The barrel is locked into the receiver by a unique two-screw V-block system. The 10/22 also pioneered Ruger’s now-familiar rotary magazine, considered by many to be the most dependable 22 magazine ever invented. This flush mounted, high-impact polymer, rotary magazine gives the Ruger 10/22 a clean appearance and comfortable feel. All 10/22s feature a convenient cross-button safety.
The Ruger 10/22 looks right, feels right, and shoots right, inspiring fierce loyalty from its owners. Perhaps that’s why you see so few used 10/22's for sale; shooters don’t readily give them up. The Ruger 10/22 is a lightweight, reliable, moderately priced rifle that is built to perform under demanding use. For that reason, it has become a standard among small-game hunters, plinkers and competitive target shooters, where speed and accuracy are paramount.

ITHACA MODEL 37 12-GAUGE DEERSLAYER FEATHERLIGHT |
12-gauge Deerslayer
Unless you grew up hunting west of the Rockies, when you think of "slug
guns" for deer you likely think "Ithaca Model 37." It's a venerable pump-gun design (originating from John M. Browning's Remington Model 1917, his last of such creations) that could be found in the hands of thousands of hardwoods deer hunters. Like many of us Westerners, who grew up shooting Dad's Western Field and similar pumps, back East it was a right of passage when a young boy was handed down his father's seasoned Ithaca bottom-ejector. In future generations, that right of passage for some young hunters will likely include the gift of one of most serious slug guns ever produced, the Ithaca Model 37 Deerslayer
Because there are no pressure points along its length, and therefor no stress during firing, it is free to vibrate and torque exactly the same each time a saboted bullet is launched through it. And while the barrel diameter may keep it from heating up quickly, that is of little concern with a shotgun, says Sharpless. Its main function is to provide stiffness and to reduce the amount of vibration and torque, again offering more consistency with each shot.
Deerslayer is an Ithaca Gun tradition as well as a Trademark. For generations, Ithaca Gun fans have known the difference that pride of craft can make in a slug-shooting shotgun. Accuracy, reliability, and speed of follow-up shots make the Ithaca Gun Deerslayer and Deerslayer II the examples against which all slug-shooting shotguns are judged.
The Deerslayer is the classic, interchangeable barrel shotgun using a fully rifled barrel in either 20 or 25" lengths. The Ithaca Gun Deerslayer has a reputation for excellence that spans nearly five decades. It carries adjustable rifle sights and is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The Deerslayer may be fitted with additional barrels for upland game, waterfowl, or turkey hunting as well.
Available in 12 Ga., 3" chamber; 16 Ga., 2-3/4" chamber; 20 Ga., 3" chamber. Barrel lengths are 20" and 24".
